This week's cover of InTouch Weekly is FABULOUS.

An excerpt from the article:
Though raising an infant has been challenging, Bristol has the unconditional love and support of her family — especially her mother, Sarah Palin. After all, no one can better understand the complicated decision to have a baby under difficult circumstances. Just a year earlier, at the age of 44, Sarah carried her son Trig to term, even though she was told during a sonogram that he would be born with Down syndrome. Now, the mother and daughter are sharing a unique experience— raising baby boys together under the same roof.

"Even though" - how I despise the way that's worded.

And OMG I am slow, but... what is the relationship between these two babies? They're not cousins. They're not siblings. Help me!

I'm not a kid person, but that's really cute. Trig always makes me smile.

I can't wait to see the sales figures for this issue. I'm even tempted to buy my very first issue of "In Touch Weekly"! Egads! Can you buy it in a brown paper wrapper so no one can see the title? :-) But how great to have that message showing on every magazine rack. Go Sarah and Bristol!

Those babies are adorable!

This is amazing stuff for two reasons. First of all, it looks like for once somebody not part of the conservative media isn't out for character assassination against Sarah Palin.

Second, I can only imagine how that cover will change the minds of many women out there contemplating abortion, including those who want to abort their Down's Syndrobe babies.

That is awesome! Finally a non-conservative publication focusing on something GOOD in the Palin family. I look at those two babies and wonder how on earth anyone could support abortion. (And I don't even really like babies!) I just can't imagine a situation desperate enough that it's worth ending an innocent life.

I, too, cringed at the "even though" phrasing. I don't understand how people can't see that aborting a baby with Down's (or any other ailment) is no different than Hitler's goal to get rid of everyone not "perfect". The motives may be different, but the result is the same.

A big reason as to why Sarah Palin caught my attention is because of the way she spoke about Trig. I know in my heart that she means every word she says about her son, because I can relate to her.

I have a Downs Syndrome brother (his name is Andrew). When Palin says that her son has enriched her life ten fold, I believe her ... Because that's how I feel about my brother. My entire family feels so fortunate to have Andy in our lives. My brother is perfect the way he is.

Anyway, whenever I listen to the Gloria Steinems of the world claiming that they're speaking for all women, I want to tell them to shut up. Sarah Palin "speaks for me" much more than they ever could!

Sarah carried her son Trig to term, even though she was told during a sonogram that he would be born with Down syndrome.

While I'm glad Sarah Palin did continue her pregnancy, it really irritates me that the article phrases it as if it was some majorly unusual choice to make. As if the obvious and 'normal' thing to do would be to abort Trig because he wasn't 'perfect'.
