The Obamas weren't going to put up a nativity scene in the East Room, as is tradition, because they wanted to be "more inclusive" (you know, by excluding anything Christian) but went ahead and did it anyway.

Now comes word of some of the fun ornaments on the Obamas' Christmas tree, designed by a controversial figure infamous for his tasteless and anti-conservative store displays. Are we talking about Hummel figurines or stuff from Hallmark?

Nope...we get Obama on Mt. Rushmore, the ever-popular Chairman Mao, and a drag queen:

Like I've been saying. Obama's about as Christian as Bill Maher.

Yeah, I never understood the whole "we need to be inclusive, so let's exlude Christianity!" argument. Just include other faiths and traditions alongside. Doesn't seem that difficult.

Oh, you have got to be kidding me! How completely tasteless and repulsive!

Like I've been saying. Obama's about as Christian as Bill Maher.

How I *despise* when I hear the nonsense that this man is a Christian. Christians don't leave aborted babies to die without medical care. Among other things.

Thank you, you said it so I wouldn't have to.

I have liberal relatives coming in a day, and I have to try not to get worked up so that I don't lash out at them too quickly. (They made my freakin grandma cry with their pro-choice Christian crap! I mean come on!)

Aw, making a grandma cry? Shame on them!

Pro-choice Christian? I... can't even get my mind around that. Unless, of course, they mean the choice to let a baby live instead of choosing to let him/her be chopped up into tiny pieces and thrown away like a piece of trash. Now that's what I call a choice.

Well, it was my grandma's sister. Apparently they always make her cry and throw a hissy fit when she turns on Fox News. These people don't think somethings happened unless it's on MSNBC.

My mother got mad cause I was gunna tell them they weren't allowed to hold the new baby because if they had their liberal way she would have been pulled out with a wire hanger. Oh yeah, I WENT there.

Man, my sympathies. I know a little bit what you mean, my family is mostly conservative but we have a few very passionate liberals in there as well.

UGH I have a family get-together coming up on Sunday with two super-liberal cousins and a liberal aunt, and I am DREADING it. I swear if this health care bill goes through by then I may just be at the boiling point. I'm gonna have to just keep my mug full of coffee and shove it in my face whenever I'm tempted to go off.

Between that and running to the bathroom every 20 minutes, I should be able to make it, I figure. :)

I went the more mental warfare route. I made sure to set up my nativity where everyone can see it, the house is plastered with pictures of the baby, I stuck up my 'We Say Merry Christmas' sticker, and we set out all the conservative books in the house.

Dean & Sam approve.

LOL! Go, you! Frankly, I'm tired of conservatives always being these quiet creatures who never make a peep about anything for fear of offending somebody.

And especially in your own home you have the right to be as bold as you choose.

Who the f*** gets their Christmas tree done by a DECORATOR, anyway? Don't the White House staff have kids who would have loved putting up the decorations?

From: [identity profile] agentbristow86.livejournal.com
Well and I bet they have several trees throughout the House, too, many of them quite tall.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had their own "family tree" in their living quarters, that the kids did get to decorate.

But don't get me wrong, I DO think their choice of decorations featured here was, shall we say, all kinds of offensive. >:(

This is exactly what I expected from Obama.

And people wonder why some Christians are angry. People keep telling them to be shut up and be open-minded, yet the people telling them that aren't being open-minded themselves.

"You have to accept us, but we refuse to accept you." It can't go only one way. Then again, these are liberals we're talking about here. They always expect it to go just one way.

Reminds me of the last Democratic President's Christmas tree; Theame of the tree was 12 days of Christmas, and the 5 golden rings was made of the gold condom coins.
We'll at least they were there for the husband of the Sec. of State if he or an intern needed them...

I have been saying all along that Obama is an atheist. This does nothing to alter that opinion.

It makes perfect sense that he is an atheist.

Obama probably hates the concept of answering to a higher being.

This is what I've believed all along as well. Christianity is a public, politically-motivated MASK for this man. Simply attending a "church" doesn't make you a Christian, and absolutely nothing about his words or actions reflect a belief in the sovereign God of the Bible.

The gullibility of the masses that continues to this day astounds me. These people apparently believe anything they're told as long as it's what they want to hear. And some Christians fall into this category as well. "Oh, well, Obama's gotta be a good guy, he said he's a Christian!"

*eyeroll*

Their are asshats of every religion, so the argument that he Christian and therefore must be decent is seriously flawed.

I just got a really nasty reply to my comment on here earlier, but it doesn't seem to be showing. Thanks to whoever screened it.
