John Kerry on Ted Kennedy at the memorial:
"He labored with all of his might to make health care a right for all Americans, and we will do that in his honor."

No surprise there. That was my first thought, the moment I learned of his death.

I know, but it was such a loaded question. Hehe. I mean, President Ted Kennedy? Oh, man. And the fun moral equivalency question about Mary Jo that the Left is engaging in. Lovely.

Maidens Sacrificed For Politics

That's what happens when you trade a Christian moral code for a pagan one that conveniently changes with the circumstances. The Left cannot deal with the idea their legislative hero never answered for Kopechne's death, so it just views her as an acceptable sacrifice (one soulless bitch--sorry no better word for her--even posited on HuffPo that Kopechne would have found her own death "worth it") for the Good of Progressive Politics. This is the same sort of thinking that led to human sacrifices in some cultures. Instead of tossing a virgin into a volcano or ripping out someone's heart on top of a Mayan pyramid, a girl is tossed into the pond to please the demands for a socialist Utopia.

Gee, wonder why I don't trust them to provide me health care?

Hey, don't need to convince me. Although, I am curious on whether to ask my liberal friends, "so Mary Jo dying for Teddy's years of awesome Senate service, that okay with you?"

I know a few wouldn't like it much.

There was a fun Hotair.com comment I liked.

Obama: I've come to use Kennedy, not bury him.

If socialized medicine was so good, why didn't Ted Kennedy get treatment for his cancer in Canada, Eh!
