I don't know who has seen this video yet, but this is Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee...taking a cell phone call WHILE someone is speaking to her at a town hall meeting. She is doing this to the people who ELECTED and PAY her...and she obviously doesn't care to listen to what they say:

Here is a second video...This one needs a little transcribing. After she says "How are you going to persuade people talking like?" someone from the crowd yells out, "WE'RE TRYING TO PERSUADE YOU!"

"I don't know what else I can do..." ??? Is THAT ALL you have to say Claire? Are you really THAT ignorant of what to do???

THIS is the level of contempt our elected officials have for us as citizens. This is the level of contempt the man sitting in the White House has for us.

Wow, bloody hell.

I would have yelled at Sheila Jackson Lee for being so unprofessional. You do NOT ANSWER YOUR CELL PHONE IN THE MIDDLE OF ANY MEETING AT ALL. Not even at work!

The level of contempt and ignorance the Democrats and Liberals have for this country, and the people they claim to represent and work for is damning.

Even President Bush, like him or not, still cared about what people said in town hall meetings and didn't ignore what people said.

I can't stomach to see how people love these people so much and this happens.

Sheila Jackson Lee has a bad rep that goes back several years. Back in the '90s, a couple of airlines supposedly banned her because of her obnoxious behavior and bad attitude. Once when she was on some Congress critter fact finding trip or other in Mississippi, she was outraged she didn't get a limousine. She actually exclaimed, "I'm the queen!"

She comes from a gerrymandered district (Houston) designed to keep her in office for life. That's why she can blab on her cell phone while a constituent is speaking and call it "multitasking." She knows she's not going anywhere.

Wow. I wouldn't have answered my cell phone in a meeting with a sales rep at my old job, let alone with my bosses. Because that's who those people are, or are supposed to be... her bosses!

I know...it's incredibly rude. She was on Greta's show and said something like she saw how it could have appeared rude but I was only half watching the TV (and it was on mute) so I don't know if she truly made an apology.
