I love this MSNBC poll: Has President Barack Obama lost control of his health care message? As of right now, with more than 22,000 votes, it's about 73% yes, 11% maybe, and 15% no.

Gosh, I guess the American public's not quite as stupid as you thought, Mr. President.

If you watch the debate and dissension taking place at health care town hall meetings across the country, you can clearly see that voters aren’t in-step with the president’s plan.

MSNBC you need to hide your contempt a little bit better.

It might just be the way I read it. The following is just to explain how I saw it. I don't claim to be right, this is just my interpretation.

I find the wording interesting. "The voters aren't in-step with the president's plan" even though he is a public servant. He's supposed to be in line with what the voters want. The use of the word "dissension" places a negative value on the debate. It's subjective, but it almost seems to me that the debate of the voters is a negative that interrupts the president's positive.

Compare with the other statements:

No. Congress has been moving quickly – and Obama has been maneuvering behind the scenes to get hospitals and drug manufacturers on the same page.

All positives in the president's and Congress's favor, no mention of the American people.

I don’t know. There seems to be some struggle between lawmakers and the White House, but I think Americans are in agreement that a health care overhaul is overdue.

The implication I read: the shepherds are in slight disagreement, but the sheep will follow.

It's totally subjective, but the statements don't really seem to have a very positive view of the average voter.

It is MSNBC, so what you can expect? I am dismayed that this way of thinking even exists in our country. Even so, I am optimistic that the voters will win, and the Democrats' rude awakening will get even ruder.
