It is uplifting to see democracy emerge in countries that once suffered under oppression, even if these women do not have a strong likelihood of winning the election, just the fact that they can enter the campaign trail is a strong sign in the right direction. Bush deserves a lot more credit than he gets for bringing democracy to these people.
