military equipment

As I was heading to work this morning, I had to stop for a train. This train was carrying tanks, jeeps, and two or three Red Cross vehicles. In all my years of living here, I have never seen anything like it. Is there anything happening militarily? I think I heard we are going to increase our troop strength in Afganistan.

When I've been driving to and from my parents' house (they're in IA, I'm in MO), I've seen military trucks on the road. It's definitely out of the ordinary.

Not that I know of! I haven't noticed anything like this, but I live next to a base and close to a few others, so it's not that weird for me. :)

I know something is going in Afghanistan...maybe it has something to do with that? I don't know much about it...but it could be a long op. *shrugs*
