Did anyone watch the new show "Brothers & Sisters" last night? I was very excited that a main character in a family drama is a Republican until I watched it. Of all the people in the world who could have pulled this off brilliantly, they choose Calista-can't-act-her-way-out-of-a-paper-bag-Flockhart.
And, I was really disappointed in the show itself. The pacing was slow and none of the characters garnered any sympathy from me. I could have cared less about any of them.

Being a conservative is treated as a fault, something that has to be overcome, or else you're just Oilcan Harry twisting your mustache or a fool who has to be constantly shown up by the wiser and more liberal characters who get all of the good lines.**Note, they tried this with Archie Bunker but it didn't quite work...he was easily the most popular character on "All In The Family."
