That's what Fox News just reported.

The panel ruling on if the building the mosque would replace deserved historical-status protection decided--unanimously--that it didn't. So, the building will be torn down and this Cordoba Institute will take its place.

I seriously cannot belive this.

It is obviously a test, from the radical Muslims and from the Left. The Islamists want to see how far Americans will let them go with offending us in the name of "tolerance." The Left wants to see how the Right will react, and if/when something happens, hold it up as evidence of our radical tendancies.

Right now this seems like a no-win scenario. If Americans (right or left) continue to block this mosque or do anything to hamper its construction, vandalize it after the fact, etc, the Islamists building the mosque become the "victims" (Americans jumping to their deaths from burning towers 500 feet away? When did that happen?). If the mosque is built, the Islamists become the "victors." They will show their resolve to subdue and eventually conquer us is much greater than our will to resist them.

Now what?
