Jersey Shore's Snooki sounds off about the upcoming tanning tax in the Obamacare bill. (At least, I believe the tanning tax is from the Obamacare bill, but feel free to correct me otherwise.) She also defended in how John McCain wouldn't have imposed such a tax, because "he’s pale and probably would want to be tan." I hear you, sister. Special thanks to Big Hollywood.

Your reminder by "Daily Beast"'s Tina Brown about the autheticity card in regards to conservative vs. liberal women. Nothing you haven't heard before. Allahpundit has a few interesting observations, especially about Nikki Haley.

Exit quotation: "I don’t think any of them won because they’re women — if Kang and Kodos had Fiorina’s and Whitman’s advertising budgets, they could have won too — but obviously gender wasn’t a liability either. And there surely is potency in the idea of Haley romping to victory in a southern state over three white male establishment politicians. Based on my limited knowledge of the race, she’s clearly the most appealing of the four — and the polls showed it, race, gender, and religious background notwithstanding. Three cheers for meritocracy."

Update (6/15): A TN Democrat, Janis Baird Sontany, takes Brown's thought and goes incredibly further with it:

My last entry for the day, I hope. (Then again, I haven't posted in a while.) Anyway, Hotair.com analyzes the latest ads from Nikki Haley's opponent, Barrett. What should pique your interest is side analysis about current racial politics in the South, and how much has changed. (It especially addresses on how there is not a prominent Indian liberal equivalent in the South, like Haley or Bobby Jindal. How about that?)
