Honest to heaven, I knew nada about this movie before someone on my FL linked to it, with squee, as the exemplar of slash-on-film. Of honestly, sensitively done gay love. Ang Lee directed. Okay. So I followed the link to Newsweek's review of Brokeback Mountain.
Gay. Cowboy. Movie.
Thank goodness there were no jello product placements on the movie still, is all I can say.
Newsweek remarked disapprovingly, "When the trailer plays in theaters where there are a lot of young men in the audience, it's often met with snickers or outright laughter.
I suspect they underestimate the number of South Park viewers in the audience.
