From TLC:

An interactive survey of 6,819 adults across the United States have determined that President George Bush and New York Senator Hillary Clinton would both land smack in Slytherin, while the US's First Lady, Laura Bush, would find herself among the badgers of Hufflepuff. Meanwhile 57% of respondents said they'd elect Hermione Granger president.

The poll, which found that three in five adults who had read the previous HP books planned to buy the sixth, also showed there was almost no Democratic/Republican split on HP readers: roughly 65% of Democrats and independents and 66% of Republicans planned on reading the book.

Forty-one percent of poll-takers, a plurality, placed themselves in Ravenclaw, not Gryffindor (30%), which came in second. Hufflepuff garnered 23% and Slytherin came last, with only two percent.

I think dear Laura's a total 'Puff. Hilary's a complete Slytherin -- and to be frank, I could see George in Slytherin, too, but not in the evil way I'm sure most people put him there for :P

However, I would never elect Hermione president. Oh dear God. "Hello, I think house-elves are too stupid to know what they want in life, so it's up to me to rip them from the lives they know and give them my definition of a worthy life. Aren't I so open-minded?!" (Though the question asked who you'd choose between the Trio, not all characters. If Arthur put a little interest in moving forward, I think I'd vote for him. Open-minded, but adheres to some more conventional values -- I mean, seven children! LOL!)

Of course, the most interesting part is the proof that conservatives -- despite the overly-discussed flack coming from some Christians -- are just as likely to be all about HP (in fact, even a bit more so!). Take that, random person months back who stated that Republicans just can't like HP because it's "omgsoliberal"! :P
