Hi all,
I just finished reading 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (and Al Franken is number 37) by Bernard Goldburg. (He also wrote Bias.) This is a wonderful book. You need to RUN, not walk to your nearest bookstore or library and get a copy.
Mr. Goldburg has a list he made that he counts down from 100 and tells why each person is on the list. Some of the people on his list, I've never heard of but there are plenty that I have like Michael Jackson, Robert Byrd, Courtney Love, etc.
I've read it, my mother is reading it and when she's done, she's giving it to my sister to read.
I paid full price for this book standing in a book store in the Providence, RI airport and it was worth every penny.

*waves arms franticly*
And I haven't even gotten around to reading Order of the Phoenix, let alone Half-Brained Prince. ;_;

Date: 2005-07-26 04:59 pm (UTC)I went to Amazon to check it out. I particularly enjoyed the review that started out, "I haven't read this book, but" and then went on to bash anyone who would even pick it up.
This makes me want to read it even more!
