Just like you, I enjoy the convenience of ebooks and streaming. It's so easy to click, click, click. 

But I am telling you right now, start buying physical copies of the books, shows, movies, and music you love. With the way things are going, you're going to see more & more of this censorship and making things disappear.

Some discount sites that I've personally used are Thriftbooks and DVD Price Search.  Ebay is also a resource, though I don't use them very often. I only do the "buy now" option. I forget what I got through there fairly recently, but it was a deal and a good experience.


I'd doubly urge you to buy a physical copy of 1984. And then read it.

I read 1984.... in 1984. He was off by only a few years.

I've been getting books, cds and dvds of my favorite shows. Those of the Fandom Menace have been advising this because some stuff is already disappearing and nothing is going to stop them from editing stuff to their liking.

What an awful time this is.

I wish all this had happened just a bit earlier, when I still had most of my "stimulus" check & tax refund. I need to get the full set of M*A*S*H before they decide it's not already left-leaning enough!

I'm trying to think what else would they go after? I'm guessing every cop show ever made?

They cancelled COPS. As well as that other show, forget the name of it.

I'm trying to think of other series and shows I like. Fortunately over the years I got mostly dvds because I never streamed anything.

It is insanity. The crime rate is already going up from the cops not doing anything and rolling over like whipped dogs.

I wish we could wake up from it, because no one is waking up to it, it seems.

I wonder if Blue Bloods will have a finale or come back at all! At least it wasn't cancelled in the middle of a season. But honestly, I can't imagine that show airing right now. It's always balanced. Very well done. But it is very pro-police and God knows, we can't have THAT.

I thought that had happened long ago. Silly, fun show. John Schneider was a huge crush back in the day!

I wish this had happened when I still had some of my tax/stimulus $. I NEED to get all of M*A*S*H before it's banned as well. Left leaning sort of, but all sorts of "problematic" stuff in it!

MASH won't go anywhere. The attack is specifically at slavery and cop material.

I would check EBay for the box set. We got Tech Guy's dad one when it was newly released and Tech Guy found a gently used one on EBay since for his own collection.
