If you don't know, "Book Tube" is an unofficial section of YouTube, where people make videos about... wait for it... books!
This guy is new to Book Tube and is doing a Harry Potter re-read. I only recently got my last two HP books back from family members, so I missed the videos on the first book. I've got so much going on and I don't think I'll have time/energy to go back and watch those. But I'm finally caught up with reading and I'm starting on the Chamber of Secrets videos. He's spreading it out through a whole year, so it's very doable. I think he's covering 5 chapters a week.
His channel name is sirbooksage, which is pretty cool. I'm really enjoying his video so far.
Just thought I'd pass it along if anyone's interested. I'm pretty much done with Real Life these days, so I am escaping once again into this wonderful and comforting world!

Date: 2017-11-29 04:21 pm (UTC)I think that is such a great idea! Reading used to be necessarily a solitary endeavor. But that seems to be changing and becoming more of a communal thing. I'm not 100% sure whether that's a good development or not. But as long as people are reading, enjoying, and talking about books, I'm all for it!
The downside is these extra activities like reading groups, video discussions, conventions, and now (apparently endless) TV/film adaptations can take the place of actually *reading* the book.
