Sep. 3rd, 2012 11:16 pmSo Nicki Minaj has endorsed Mitt Romney for President.
I'm not sure how to react. Second look at Nicki Minaj? Maybe I can hate her music and her celebrity "personality" (or whatever) and not dislike her as a person? I just don't even!
My husband pointed out that the liberals will likely say that, before she was famous, she likely would've been "for Obama." And now that she's rich, she's "for Romney" and just dismiss her.
Rapper Nicki Minaj gave Mitt Romney an expletive-filled endorsement in a Lil Wayne song released Monday.[link]
The pop star, rumored to be a new judge on "American Idol," also took a shot at President Obama on the eve of the Democratic convention.
āIām a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches are f------ up the economy,ā she rapped on "Mercy," the fifth track on the Lil Wayne's "Dedication 4" album.
The line was first uncovered by Rap Dose. The online music magazine also pointed out that Minaj rapped over beats produced by Kanye West, who attended the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver in support of President Obama.

If that happens, then the take-away there is that liberals really do want to punish financial success and do need people to remain poor in order to keep winning elections so much that they will admit it out loud. This is not a strategy I would pursue, but I suppose we'll see what they do in the coming days.

However, as the OP warns:
"Some have asked whether or not Minaj was herself endorsing Romney or rather mocking those who do; I think the latter. When she says "I'm a republican voting for Mitt Romney" she's quoting someone in her song. She replies by saying "You lazy b*tches are f*cking up the economy."
"Unless she comes out and says otherwise, which I suspect she will considering the mob reaction of Borg-like leftists, I'm inclined to think she's mocking the candidate. She's entitled to her free speech, regardless her intent. It's a shame that the left, the ideology of "diversity" and "tolerance," demonstrated racial prejudice and violent threats as its knee-jerk reaction. Tells you all you need to know, does it not?"
Indeed, on both counts.

Date: 2012-09-05 04:44 am (UTC)I'd bet she was being sarcastic.
Also, this is the chick who says she has a male, British, alter-ego named Roman Zolanski, along with a Fairy Godmother and various other personalities. I don't think anything she says is meant to be taken seriously...
Also, I think her 15 minutes are almost up. Some of her songs are fun, but no different from any other dance/club/electronic music out there.
