How was that a big government thing? From the article, it seems that the private company security was contracted to (G4S) totally screwed the pooch.
Funny enough, the guy that runs G4S has also been predicting that most police services will be privatized in the future. (guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/jun/20/g4s-chief-mass-police-privatisation).
