It has become obvious that there are "members" of this community who are here only for trolling and grabbing screenshots of comments to locked posts in communities and websites to "tattle" about how "evil" and closed minded we are here at TheRightFangirl.

The person has been banned and as usual anyone else found in violation will also be removed.

To those who disagree with TRF's politics, I have been very gracious as a mod to allow you to be here. I have gone against members here to stand up for your freedom to be a part of the discussion...so for you to do this in "my house" is childish and immature. Like seriously? I stopped tattling in the 3rd grade. If your friends want to be apart of the civil discussion they can come see it for themselves. Stop being a coward and an idiot.

All memberships from now until further notice must be approved by me. There will also be a membership purge coming soon since we need to shed some of this dead weight.

Btw: I hate using the "wtf?" Tag for mod posts...So I promise the next time I post, no "wtf?" Tag will be attached lol.

Yeah, I don't get it. There are a number of people from sf_drama spying on us, because they hate us that much. We don't go around trolling them or their communities. If they can't handle ANY conservative opinions, even on a community that's mostly got members-only locked posts, I hope they all live in extremely liberal areas, otherwise I don't know how they'd get through their days.

That's the thing that really gets me. You very rarely see conservatives trolling liberal communities, and bringing screenshots back to top-secret conservative communities they've made for the sole purpose of talking crap about these people with each other. But with liberals it's ALL THE TIME. And WE are supposedly the ones who are bigoted and intolerant and hateful.

Meaning what exactly? I hate to jump the gun since you're certain to post about this again soon with more info but I'm sure there are people, like me, who almost never post or comment and could easily be misconstrued as lurkers looking for some examples of "evil conservatism." Really I just genuinely enjoy the catharsis of reading like-minded opinions and see no reason to comment with what's been said already.

Looking at the members list, I wouldn't be surprized if the mod were to want to get rid of some rant_about_cons members who are surely here to mock, where they active. IE: gcallivan (the mod of r_a_c), jonathankorman, kawaiimamamiamami, telemann, notlafinjack, new_wave_witch, etc. It would probably be a good idea to make the same rule as deviantartsnark. The mods in that comm will immediately ban any member that reports the comm to a snark comm.

Plus, Telemann has posted screenshots of locked entries from TRF on SF_D in the past. So, he definitely needs to go. Also, I wonder if what lafinjack's doing--i.e., using another account to get around the ban he received from here awhile back, could get him a permaban from LJ.

Thank you. To be extra clear, I'm not advocating the removal of members from liberal communities. I'm saying we should get rid of any members of comms specifically formed to mock conservatives, or bully people in general, like rant_about_cons and the snark comms.

Idk about lafinjack though. He's already created at least twenty socks to harass one specific user alone. You'd think somebody would have gotten him gone, but he's probably savvy enough to word things in a way to not sound like harassment.

No, I understand and agree with you. I would not advocate getting rid of anyone who simply belongs to a liberal community. I'm not threatened simply by the presence of liberals being on here. But the people who are known for lurking in this community or others like it for posts/comments to mock on other communities--they gotta go.

I have not decided yet which is why I was vague. I do not think removing members who are members of liberal communities will be the best couse since I do approve of reasonable liberals engaging with us...and I do not think having a "comment here or be removed" plan would be wise either....so we'll see. I will let everyone know once I have decided. I do not want TRF to become a "police state" of sorts because I enjoy the freedom of self monitoring...however because this is happening something needs to be done...I just am not sure what is the best course.

I totally understand. There's really no right way to handle it, is there? I didn't think you'd be removing people just based on what other communities they're in (conservatives can cross over just as easily as liberals after all and TRF has always been open for reasonable debate), but I couldn't think of what you might actually do instead which was why I wanted to get my concerns in before you'd settled on anything. I'm sure though that you'll find an answer that works for the community. :)

I'm definitely putting in my vote to delete ANYONE belonging to the rant_about_cons community. You will never find a better group of miserable liberals who spend all their free time lurking in conservative communities on LJ and posting screenshots to the community all day long so they can all bitch and moan about what we say to each other. Moonbats have taken over almost ALL of fandom, which is one of the reasons I've left most of it; I don't consider it at all unreasonable for their to be at least one non-Leftist fandom comm... :S I mean, we need DIVERSITY of opinions, right?
