I think that statement is a bit extreme for Biden. It is a lot worse than "Joe being Joe"

I didn't believe it, either, at first. And then I re-read it, and thought, "I was wrong." And then, I re-re-read it, as I was right the first time -- he went there. So, yeah, it makes my brain hurt, like anything else he says.

Holy cow, that statement and its meaning/implications are so mixed up on so many levels!

He accuses Republicans of 'blaming the victim'. Who is the victim here? We are - the American people as a whole. Where are Republicans blaming Americans? Republicans are blaming those in government who are digging us deeper and deeper into the financial hole.

His solution apparently is... blame Bush?

It would be wise to not focus on the tasteless and insulting language itself, but on the content of his argument. Such as it is.
