Eric Fuller, one of the survivors of the Tuscon shooting, has spoken out against Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, etc. Politico.com is carrying the story, the first link where the actual interview takes place. Special thanks to Hotair.com.

Chances are, this probably will be the next turn of the story/narrative. I'll sure the talking heads, both Right and Left, will chime in, shortly, so I'll wait until then and update accordingly.

I do not belittle what this poor man has been through, and my anger for what happened to him isn't lessened a bit, but:

"Their wish for Second Amendment activism has been fulfilled."

This is an idiotic statement. People who are using their common sense know that horrific acts like this are perfect fodder for the ANTI-2nd Amendment crowd.

I cannot begin to fathom what this gentleman has been through. His anger is understandable since after a crisis humans looks for someone to blame. I am just saddened that instead of education with evidence of the shooter, he is buying Ito the retoric of the lefists and adding fuel to the fire. (just like Gifford's dad did when he heard she was shot. He automatically blamed Palin and the Tea Party when it still has not been proven that they were apart of these actions. At least prove to me "beyond a reasonable doubt" that the shooter was brainwashed by Palin.)

While I pray for his speedy recovery and feel for him, it makes me wonder if the left is paying this guy to say this. Srsly

I don't have the stomach to read the articles right now, so I am just commenting on the title/short quote.

Sickening. But if it does become the next turn of the narrative, then we must be on guard: Don't let the fact that this guy was a victim stop you from speaking strongly against him. The fact that someone has a tragedy befall them does not give them a free pass for slander.

But this is *exactly* what the media and even other liberals will do. They will immediately seize upon anyone speaking out against this man and call them cruel, unfeeling, etc. They will use guilt to silence you. And most of the time it will work, because most people have a natural tendency to hesitate when saying anything negative about someone who's just endured a tragedy.

Compassion is commendable. But don't let them use this tactic against you. It's his *comments* we are speaking against, not him personally. But the Left will twist it to make us look heartless.

Expect it. Don't fall for it.

She's right. We've seen a parade of them over the years: James Brady, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, the so-called Jersey Girls 9/11 widows, the father of one of the kids killed at Columbine, etc. who nicely use victim status as a shield for their activism. Sounds to me Mr. Fuller is a flaming lefty who was no fan of conservatives or the 2nd Amendment prior to last Saturday.

Is it just me or is no one, despite the facts or even Obama's speech the other night, backing down from the anti-conservative blood libel? They STILL want to place blame where it doesn't belong.

who nicely use victim status as a shield for their activism.

That's an accurate and handy way of saying it! I may have to borrow this sometime, with credit.

You're expecting apologies? These folks believe Palin/Beck/Tea Party/conservatives are to blame for this. They believe it sincerely and with their entire souls. They are never, ever going to apologize.

Look at their Bush = Hitler rhetoric, I don't see many apologizing for that one.

Isn't it amazing how 8 years of that crap went down the memory hole? And these same people now want to lecture us on "civil discourse".

The hypocrisy is stunning. We need to say that, and to their faces, every time we get a chance.

Oh no, I wasn't expecting apologies. I'm just amazed that they're still keeping it up even if the general public isn't buying it.
