LeAnn Rimes on GOP Fundraiser: ‘It's a Job! I'm Entertainment, Not Making a Political Stance’

Apparently, LeAnn Rimes was recently hired for a Republican fundraiser. The news item is that she's clarifying the record, asserting that it was only a gig. (The link also noted she did a Clinton fundraiser, years ago.) I don't disagree with Rimes' contention, as just because an entertainer is hired for a political fundraiser doesn't necessarily mean he or she shares the same politics. (Although, it isn't a bad indicator, either.) As always, you make the call. Special thanks to Big Hollywood.

It's so sad she needs to emphasize it's just a job, blah blah blah. God forbid anyone in show biz admits to being a conservative....oh noez!!!!!
I bet when she did a Clinton stint she didn't have to say boo defending it.
