Happy Birthday to a great guy!

Hello fellow conservative fangirls! As many of you know, Adam Baldwin, master of such characters as Ricky Linderman (My Bodyguard), Animal Mother (Full Metal Jacket), Knowle Rohrer (X-Files) Jayne Cobb (Firefly), and now John Casey (Chuck), is a conservative voice in Hollywood. I'd been a fan of his for quite some time. When I learned what kind of man he was aside from his acting, I gained a new respect. I follow him on twitter and have had the privilege of exchanging words with him. His birthday is tomorrow and for weeks now, I've been working on a gift. I wanted to share it with you guys. I present Jayne Cobb: Big Damn Hero!




This was done first as a sketch from memory. Over the course of weeks, it was painted in Photoshop. This is only the second or third time I've done a digital painting so I'm pretty happy with it. Adam is truly a treasure and I sense in him the ability to be much more than just an actor. I hope someday to see him on the political stage.

Zach is conservative too. He had a tiny cameo in "An American Carol." He posts on his own IMDB board sometimes (or used to; haven't visited it in awhile) and seems like a super-nice guy.

Zach Levi is a conservative (though non-homophobic) evangelical Christian, yep, who has or at one time had his own ministry and has given many numerous and intelligent interviews about sharing your faith in Hollywood.

The painting is beautiful. I think Mr. Baldwin self-identifies as a conservative classical libertarian though he may have recently registered as a Republican out of sheer reactionary rage (as have many of us). He's a brilliant and eloquent man as well as talented and, okay, very sexy. :) Have you seen his Twitter (http://twitter.com/adamsbaldwin)? He tweets "Idiot Liberal Shenanigans" types of critiques right between the "WATCH CHUCK HOKAI CAUSE ITS ON TONIGHT!!!" kinds of things. He's a brave and funny man. I'm all about a future Sinise/Baldwin ticket some time in 2020 or so. :)
