Aug. 10th, 2009 10:17 pmSorry for a separate post, but I felt this needed to be separate. As I was going through the various Craigslist sites trying to find some conservative equivalent of what the Left is doing with this "get paid to promote the Progressive Agenda" crap, I found this ad:
This bothered me. I do not like that ACORN pays people to register voters and I do not like it even more when my party decides to follow in the footsteps of such a corrupt organization and do the same. This is small potatoes compared to ACORN, but ACORN started small, too. I note that they state "valid Republican registration," but I'm sure ACORN did the same as a CYA rule so they can scapegoat their workers as needed. This sort of thing should be entirely voluntary, no pay whatsoever involved (well, maybe they could buy their people lunch) to keep the process clean.
What do you think?

An exciting new voter registration project covering Placer, Nevada, Yuba and Butte counties is now up and running and this is your chance to make some serious cash while making a difference in your community.
Work your own hours, at your own pace, and make as much $$ as you want to. Set up a table in front of your local grocery store, department store, or at flea markets and other public events. Or get creative and go somewhere we didn't already think of! We are paying $7 per valid Republican registration, and there are soon going to be other ways to make some extra cash with new initiatives gathering signatures for the 2010 ballot.
