I read about this too and I can't get over the appalling stupidity of a company not giving much thought to insulting a good portion of their customers for no good reason. It's one thing if Sandra "Won't She Ever Go Away Because She Was Never Really Funny" Bernhard blurted it out while shooting the ad and they decided to edit it out before showing it to the public. Okay, no harm done. But putting it online and then not even issuing an apology after editing out the comments shows their original intent was to be "controversial" and generate "buzz" by insulting conservatives. Such is the mindset of people whose heads are shoved up their Manhattanite rear ends.
I sent MAC an e-mail saying that this thin-lipped right wing Republican bitch who has purchased MAC products since 1993 will do so no longer and I will take my evil Republican dollars to hex other companies instead.
