The reason people don't want to face the reality of what's going on in the world is because it shreds their carefully built worldview lie that all cultures are equal, all religions are more or less the same, and "We all have our own truth."

It's a lie. And they know it's a lie. 

But the only alternative is facing the fact that all cultures are NOT equal, all religions are NOT more or less the same, and there is only TRUTH, not individual "truths" that you make up at will.

And they will NOT have that. They will not. They would literally die rather than admit it.
