Move On.Org has a new ad, featuring Olivia Wilde and a future dystopia scenario. It jabs on the Republican wave as it ruined THE FUTURE, but its unintentional humor value undermines the whole point of the ad. (I actually LOLed in the library.)

Allahpundit has good, snarky analysis, so enjoy:

Either way, I'll never look at Olivia Wilde the same way, again, or take her seriously after this. I am a bad, bad man. heh.

Update (10/28): I decided to use the embedded coding, as this deserves such an honor, doesn't it?

Update 2: Big Hollywood has blogged about the ad, as well, if anyone is interested.

Update 3 (10/29): Enjoy reading Wilde's post-ad commentary:

Meanwhile, E! Online probes on "why aren't there more Republicans in Hollywood," based on a viewer's reaction to the ad. I'll blog about it in much depth, later, when I have more time. Either way, wanted to give the link, since it drew life from the ad.

Update 4: Alyssa Milano has decided to take from Wilde's example with her own voting ad. Rather than to devote a separate entry, I opted to attach it to here.

Just tell me about this scandal. (Leans back, folds arms across chest. Looks outside – then back to me) Ok then – I’ll point your nose in the right direction. Enough people are sniffing in the same garbage pile anyways, including the Times. Though I suspect they are burying it at the moment, or trying to. They are still heavily invested in Obama, but that may change soon… Go back to Chicago. That is the key. There is other crap around the White House, other things that could trip them up, but Chicago is where the real heavy deal is that could bring the administration down. Go back and review Blagojevich. Go back and review Rezko, Barton, Stern, Giordano, Carothers, Jarret. It’s one and the same. It’s all connected, and it’s big. And people know. The White House is -expletive- itself over this stuff. Pelosi has it. Clintons have it – more of it than they had in 2008.

I love my party. I love my country. And yes, I love the game. I won’t be at this much longer…or maybe I will, who knows? (laughs) I had such great hopes for President Obama. Those hopes have been crushed. It wasn’t an easy thing to see. On the campaign, the guy was so good. Brilliant. I told you that already, I know – repeating myself now. But…I get emotional thinking back to 2008 and how much fun that was. Then I think to how fast it all went wrong, how soon we all started to see that there was so little to the man. We got caught up in the moment, and forgot to consider the consequences of electing someone who was simply not prepared to be President. We screwed up. I guess in a way, these interviews I am giving you are a way to…make up for that. At least in some little way.

Abuh?

And a video I thought was great. It was created by a Democrat Obama-voter who saw the light, switched parties, and now has joined the Tea Party.

Submitted for your approval: LXD (the League of Extraordinary Dancers), a series available only on Hulu. Here's the premise: There is a power called Rah, which can be tapped by very good dancers. This power allows those who can use it to do extraordinary things. Some are born with it, some are cursed with it by chance, and some can be trained to use it. Regardless, LXD is much akin to a series of music videos, where the dancing is the star. It is one of the most surreal and strange series I have ever seen. All the back episodes (all of season 1, and some of season 2) are currently available for free on Hulu. I highly recommend this, although if you're a guy it might result in a temporary suspension of your guy-license. Just a fair warning.

It's superheroes who break-dance. The cinematography is fantastic, and the storyline is actually pretty addictive. Enjoy!
