Victor Davis Hanson wrote about the recent liberal hand-wringing about "the voters are too stupid to know what's good for them." He makes a good comparison to Harry Truman vs. Adlai Stevenson, and how the plain-speaking Truman got elected while the more sophisticated Stevenson did not. If anyone wants to psychoanalyze the modern Democrats' form of condescension, feel free. Regardless, it is becoming a serious problem for any upper-echelon Democrat.
