"If we pay the salaries of the Congressmen and the Senators, we're supporting them, aren't we? Well, then why can't we list them as dependents and deduct them?"
Cute quote from a clip from an old black and white sitcom; I do not know the title. I was watching
America: Freedom to Fascism on GoogleVideo and it came up. Usually I don't get into these types of documentaries, but I was looking for Amerika (the miniseries) and when I saw the title I got curious. Its been playing in the BG ever since. I guess what I really don't understand about this--the movie for the most part has been all about the legalities of the income tax and the 16th Amendment--is, if the income tax is illegal, how come not a single lawyer has taken it through the courts and gotten it tossed out? I mean, really?
