I got home maybe an hour ago from seeing the Beck and O'Reilly simulcast Bold & Fresh Tour. (No, it didn't last that long; we did other stuff afterwards.) I thought it was excellent!

Beck was amazing on stage as to be expected, not to mention hilarious. And O'Reilly... Well, I usually roll my eyes at his corny jokes on his TV show, but he was really funny, too. Beck, I thought, was the better performer and had the better opinions, but then I'm a Beck fan and not an O'Reilly one.

The theater I saw it in was almost full; Sis and I sat on the 4th row from the front (by choice - our favorite row), and those front rows were pretty much the only ones that weren't nearly filled. We laughed and applauded and cheered and booed together, even though we were all the way in suburb town, Texas, and it wasn't even live due to the snow storm in VA. It was a lot of fun just sitting with those folks, even though we didn't exchange any words.

Overall, I left the theater having been thoroughly entertained and feeling very happy, energized, and optimistic. The two of them were really great together.

Despite the high price, I'd highly recommend seeing it on Tuesday. :)

Did anyone else get a chance to see it?

This is the recurring theme among my posts, you know?

My mom crochets while we watch movies, and recently, she has wanted to watch movies just so she can crochet. Well, this weekend, I have been wanting to watch some action-adventure movies in which the protagonists battle evil monsters - vampires, other demons, etc. I think Helsing would be a good one to watch, and I searched for it at Wal-Mart yesterday. I also saw the Resident Evil movies there; are those any good? Men-in-Black is too much of an action-comedy, and there were some other movies I went through which were too much of a drama.

What movies would you suggest? I do not want gore, and I do not want any sex scenes in the movies.

Edit: what about books along these lines that are highly well-written...

Hey, kids! Wanna Organize For America?

It's one thing if a kid seeks out this sort of thing to do on his own. It's another when the schools are actively part of the recruiting process. I've yet to hear about schools passing out applications to intern with Republican candidates or with conservative causes.

Worse yet, check out that suggested reading list...Rules For Radicals>??? One guy in the comments section noted that this Zack Exley character spread rumors about Bush 43's cocaine use on a phony campaign website 10 years ago.
