Someone explain this to me

Almost all the articles and posts I've been able to find about Michelle Obama last night, aside from a few by conservatives, have said that she looked great and she was smiling and blah blah blah. No one else noticed that she looked like she'd swallowed a pickle? Am I crazy? Or is it now the fashionable thing for Democratic First Ladies to shoot their husbands glares of death during the SOTU, and for everyone else to pretend they didn't see it?

(I was looking for a good picture of this but haven't found one yet -- will post it if I do.)

Joel Stein and Kevin Smith's review of Jersey Shore

Time writer Joel Stein recently reviewed the MTV series "Jersey Shore" with Jersey director Kevin Smith. The money quote is at the end when Smith actually compares his characters to the Shore characters.

"There's more dignity to my weed-dealing clowns," Smith said. "When Jay and Silent Bob seem like better role models than these dewberries, we're in trouble."
