Not personally; it was a form letter that completely overlooked the main point of
My E-Mail. (Thanks everyone, btw, for all the comments and points of discussion! I am ridiculously busy, but y'all're awesome!) But this is the first time, in all the years I've written (sparingly, mind you) national representatives and actually
received a response of any sort! I take back nothing that I said in my message, and in fact think the response speaks even more to what I was originally saying, but... Wow.
Srsly? I've only ever received TWO responses, and both were form letters from local representatives.
The response was rather weak, all in all. And it did, as I said, not even address anything my letter actually pounded on. Then again, a response only 6 sentences long should be expected to be so lacking.
Dear Miss Xxxxx:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the recent Senate hearing with Brigadier General Michael Walsh. I appreciate hearing from you on this matter.
Shortly after the hearing, I called General Walsh, and we had a friendly and productive conversation. We expressed our respect for one another and our determination to work together to protect our nation and communities from natural disasters.
Thank you again for writing to me. Please feel free to contact me in the future about this or any other issue of concern to you.
Barbara Boxer
United States SenatorCompletely avoids my take on the issue, doesn't it?
What say you? Should I reply? ;)
