I missed class Monday and Tuesday. This morning, I went to the history department to pick up my graded rough draft that was handed out yesterday. The secretary asked how I was doing and, because of the swine flu, told me the authorities might check on me to ask about my health. She actually used the word "authorities"! O_O

I don't have swine flu, just a regular old cold. I blame the stress from the this semester. Stress can actually lower the body's immune system, and this has been the most stressful semester I have ever had in college. I am certain that if I did have swine flu, I'd be in the hospital right now, but I am feeling much better than Friday or Saturday.

It is very weird, though. I heard a lot of coughing and hacking in class today, and I still hear people coughing in the library. I am not used to so many people sounding sick at the same time.

From the ever wonderful Breitbart.tv.

While this is a little horrifying to watch, I think it puts our out-of-control budget into some kind of perspective.

The study of behavior of humans in internet communities warrants several years of work by a graduate Anthropology student.

Yesterday I quickly hashed together in my usual fashion, a post of formulated material with video and text from a legally expert source (Ron Paul) on various subjects, a largely reputable online media source and my own overview from listening to the second largest distributed radio program.

For the first time in my years of membership as a Live Journal user, given the gravity of the *hysteria* and abundant propagandist misinformation, I posted material across multiple communities rather than simply one or two; health related to political groups largely the former.

Responses and results were surprisingly educational. They can be grouped into the following areas by volume greatest to a tie for least between 4 and 5/last:

Good afternoon, all~! I'm sorry if I offended anyone last time. :(

Anyway, I'm going to go be sad because Kathleen Sibelius, in case you hadn't heard, is now HHS Secretary. I'm very very pro-life, and she's super-pro-choice. This is Really Bad News, y'all. D:

This is going to push us down the path of socialized medicine, which is also Really Bad News. Glenn Beck has a lady on his show right now from originally from Canada, talking about why it's so bad. Bringing fangirling into this, even though the answer will probably be "nothing," I can't help but wonder what, if anything, Daniel Hannan'll have to say.
