I was trying to find it on foxnews.com, but I can't. They just flashed an opinion poll on-screen that indicated that 76% of Americans (91% of Republicans and something like 80% of Democrats) feel this is a good time for smaller government and less government spending.

So why is a supposed majority of America going to vote for Barack Obama?

Just more proof that too many people don't know jack about the candidate they want to vote for.

The dumbass left wing nutjobs are at it again.......

Republican John McCain vowed Sunday to "whip" Democratic rival Barack Obama's "you-know-what" when the two presidential candidates meet Wednesday in their final televised debate.

…McCain said he and running mate Sarah Palin would continue campaigning hard in the three weeks left before Election Day, in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado. The two planned a joint appearance Monday in Virginia, a Republican stronghold turned battleground this time.

"We're going to spend a lot of time and after I whip his you-know-what in this debate, we're going to be going out 24/7," McCain said.

Now I got this from a left-wing website that shall remained unnamed.
Of course, because McCain said that he was gonna "whip" Barack Obama, it HAS to be because McCain is such a RACIST.

This is what a certain blogger on the website had to say about this:

"Anybody else got a problem with threatening to "whip" the "you-know-what" of the first African-American presidential candidate in the nation's history? Sure, sure—he didn't mean it that way, but that's what owning the context is all about. Just like it doesn't mean quite the same thing when you want to punch Hillary Clinton in the mouth as when you want to punch Bill Clinton, and just like it doesn't mean quite the same thing when you compare Barack Obama to a monkey as when you compare George Bush to one, it doesn't mean the same thing when you threaten to "whip" a white opponent as when you threaten to "whip" a black opponent, at least when you're a white guy yourself."

WTF?

Can someone please just shoot these dumbasses and put me out of my misery?

Hi guys!! First time poster here, though I've been lurking and reading comments for a while :) Just wanted to share something that sort of made my day/week today!

I go to the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, which is a pretty darn liberal school. Every single person I know here is a liberal, except for my two room-mates (thank God) and like...maybe one or two others. There is a big Obama campaign office right down the street, and they have student volunteers everywhere, just being loud and obnoxious and trying to get you to vote Obama by bad-mouthing McCain and Palin...they have put up these huge stickers and posters eeeeeeeeeeeverywhere...whereas McCain has nothing :( I understand this is because most universities of this size are pretty liberal in general, so it's not unusual or anything, but it's still really disheartening to be a Republican and a McCain supporter in a place that seemingly hates the GOP (don't even get me started on how much hatred there is for Sarah Palin here...).

Anyways, I was walking through what we call the "Oval" this afternoon, which is a large grassy area with criss-crossing paths that is usually full of volunteer tables, people eating picnic lunches, sunbathing, or just reading under a tree...usually the Oval is populated with Obama volunteers, but today I saw that there was a McCain/Palin table set up!! I was pretty much shocked, so I went over just to chat with them and tell them how much I appreciated seeing their presence :)

They were such kind and friendly people, clean-cut and nicely dressed, and mature. I noticed that they never once bashed Obama, except when they mentioned how in-your-face all of the Obama people are...it just cemented my belief that conservatives tend to be a lot nicer than liberals, at least on my campus. There was a real difference in their personalities, and it was wonderful.

So yeah, just a little anecdotal story, but I felt the need to share my happiness with someone else (since my friends list is populated with liberals, I don't usually post anything political on my normal journal...).

Also, if anyone on here goes to OSU, or even just lives in Columbus, hit me up!! I need more Republican/conservative friends~

Two thoughts:

1) Am I the only one who feels like the Ayers "meme" is getting stale? I mean, if it were working that'd be one thing, but its not and in fact could be hurting McCain. Should he move on to something else, like I dunno, showing people how Obama's economic plan really an exercise in "how can we manipulate the English language such that people will think we're giving them money when we're actually taking it away and such that the middle class won't realize we'll take nearly $.40 on the dollar from them and give it to your poorer neighbor who isn't paying any taxes?" Yeah. That. Or maybe hit him on ACORN. I know McCain had a rally of some kind where he invited ACORN, but it shouldn't be a question of "did McCain invite ACORN to a rally," because ACORN is a minority outreach group and McCain wanted to reach out to --*twitch*--illegal immigrants. The question should be, "did he know what ACORN was really doing?" and "did McCain do anything to support ACORN or did he take the organization at face-value?" Or, if McCain would like to draw voters a pretty picture, why not make a commercial featuring all of Obama's questionable "associates," from Ayers to Rezko to Odinga with a title like, "with friends like these, who needs enemies?" or something.

2) Speaking of Obama's economic plan, he was caught on-camera as saying he'll "spread the wealth around." That is Socialism in a nutshell from the lips of the Messiah himself. I think McCain should hammer him on this. He should pounce on it and run ads in prime-time, and then outline the Obamanomics plan to show voters how it is, in fact, socialism and not give Obama deniability or spin-room. Americans do not want Socialism, and I think too many have been duped into thinking that Obamanomics isn't socialism, but a good breakdown of that plan followed by that video clip would be priceless.

Yea/nay/getout?
