Two thoughts:
1) Am I the only one who feels like the Ayers "meme" is getting stale? I mean, if it were working that'd be one thing, but its not and in fact could be hurting McCain. Should he move on to something else, like I dunno, showing people how Obama's economic plan really an exercise in "how can we manipulate the English language such that people will think we're giving them money when we're actually taking it away and such that the middle class won't realize we'll take nearly $.40 on the dollar from them and give it to your poorer neighbor who isn't paying any taxes?" Yeah. That. Or maybe hit him on ACORN. I know McCain had a rally of some kind where he invited ACORN, but it shouldn't be a question of "did McCain invite ACORN to a rally," because ACORN is a minority outreach group and McCain wanted to reach out to --*twitch*--illegal immigrants. The question should be, "did he know what ACORN was really doing?" and "did McCain do anything to support ACORN or did he take the organization at face-value?" Or, if McCain would like to draw voters a pretty picture, why not make a commercial featuring all of Obama's questionable "associates," from Ayers to Rezko to Odinga with a title like, "with friends like these, who needs enemies?" or something.
2) Speaking of Obama's economic plan, he was caught on-camera as saying he'll "spread the wealth around." That is Socialism in a nutshell from the lips of the Messiah himself. I think McCain should hammer him on this. He should pounce on it and run ads in prime-time, and then outline the Obamanomics plan to show voters how it is, in fact, socialism and not give Obama deniability or spin-room. Americans do not want Socialism, and I think too many have been duped into thinking that Obamanomics isn't socialism, but a good breakdown of that plan followed by that video clip would be priceless.
Yea/nay/getout?
