The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

The campaign is coming down to one important issue: putting makeup on farm animals.

Barack Obama said, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." To which Bill Clinton, said, "You know, I've tried that, and you're right."

McCain is demanding an apology. Two U.S. senators arguing over lipstick -- and neither one of them is Larry Craig.

No man would ever be fooled by lipstick on a pig. Breast implants, well . . .

Late Show with David Letterman

It's autumn in New York. The leaves are falling. Earlier today, John McCain admitted he doesn't know how many rakes he owns.

Sad news: Hugh Hefner is breaking up with his 28-year-old girlfriend. Strange couple: elderly man in his robe and pajamas and a hot, young babe . . . oh, wait -- that's the Republican ticket.

There are rumors coming out of North Korea that Kim Jong Il may be dead. If that's true, North Korea will now be ruled by Kim Jong Il's brother, Ment-ally Il.

Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are having lunch tomorrow in New York . . .at least, that's what Bill is telling Hillary.

Late Night with Conan O'Brien

Sources in North Korea say that dictator Kim Jong Il is very sick. He may have to shift power to one of his three sons. Still, there's an out-of-the-box chance he'll pick Sarah Palin.

Barack Obama was accused of insulting Sarah Palin. He said, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." Political experts say if he keeps insulting Palin, he could lose the election and win a job at MSNBC.

President Bush called the remarks outrageous; Cheney called them over the line; and Joe Lieberman said they're not kosher.

Boy George says he's written a song supporting Barack Obama. That will help Obama lock up the critical 1980s gay pop-star vote.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

Barack Obama was on David Letterman yesterday. I'm not one to say who I support, but when I saw the show, I was thinking, There's a very sexy compassionate man. Obama's good too, but Dave . . .

Not only sexy . . . my boss.

Obama has said you can put lipstick on a pig, and it's still a pig. Republicans then said, Did you call Sarah Palin a pig? And Democrats said, It's a pig's right to wear lipstick . . .

Alrighty, time to dive back into the game. Michelle Malkin's latest post has a new wrinkle, involving our candidate. As you may or may not know, McCain spoke at the 9/11 Columbia University forum earlier in the evening, defending Obama against the community organizer crack. In some ways, that's truly admirable. In other ways, well, I'll let Michelle Malkin's venting do the talking for me.

You may want to headdesk, people -- Lord knows I'm tempted, myself. Then again, Obama will have a hard time countering to that. Not to mention, it's a nice apology to the Lipstick wank..., I keep telling myself. Heh.

In conjunction with the post I made last week...

Fun wankery from John and Cindi McCain's View interview today. I'm not touching Whoopi's line, but I have to ask 'why did he go on the show in the first place?' The show is clearly leftist, and they don't care what he has to say. Still, I have to admire his venturing into tough venues.*

*Not a jab on you-know-who, just making a general statement.

Amazing. Ever since Palin was picked, admittedly, I bemoaned the loss of the experience club on Obama, which was effective. Then again, she brought so many wonderful facets to the campaign, so I got over my concern. Yet, here it is, front and center, and she's flourished quite nicely. And, really, the Democrats/secular-progressives unleashed this one on themselves with the experience rap. "For every reaction...," yes?

One of the few times I love irony. Heh.

The latest Obama ad, and, oh, boy, it's a doozy. I'm going with the Michelle Malkin version (yes, I've been linking to her quite a bit, haven't I?), as other people throw in their 2 cents of legitimate criticism.

http://michellemalkin.com/2008/09/12/lamest-obama-ad-ever-mccain-doesnt-do-e-mail/

Originally, I thought the ad was utterly dopey. Then, I immediately switched gears to the serious side, and, well, I'll let this comment in Malkin's link speak for me.

A commenter at the liberal TNR blog is shaking his/her head: “I just don’t get the thinking behind it at all. Don’t they realize that there are 83 million Americans in the non-line community? And most of those are probably in downscale households they NEED to turn out? They’re insulting these people! Gratuitously!”

I'm still leaning toward "dopey," myself, but I definitely understand the concern, here. As always, I report and you decide.
