This is an interesting series of articles published by FOX Newschannel regarding the honesty of the individual candidates, and the degrees to which they spin or outright lie. FOX Newschannel shies away from using the word "lie," substituting the word "un-truth" instead. I suppose they are "afraid" of any repurcussions of actually calling a candidate out, which is extremely unfortunate because a lie is a lie and the people should be able to recognize and label it as such for the full impact.
Anyway, here is the link.
Its interesting to note that, according to this report, Hillary is the worst liar, literally making things up. Obama is the worst spinner, frequently going back and changing what he's said and accusing others of misunderstanding or lying. McCain is the worst offender when it comes to verbal blunders (such as blanket-labeling Iran-trained extremists as "Al Qaeda" which this article has labeled as an "un-truth"), but has also been caught in factual lies.
Its funny, too, regarding the number of "issues" in each segment: Hillary has 12, and Obama and McCain each have 7. In my opinion, some of the McCain "issues " seem a bit contrived, like they were having a difficult time coming up with enough items to make his article seem "fair" against Obama's article (since they're the two presumptive candidates). My reaction is that its not McCain's fault that he doesn't create as many opportunites for ridicule as Obama does. That's not to say that McCain is a straight-shooter, but he's just the better of the three.
