Old loves never die.

Cross-posted from my journal.
Here's Bruce Springsteen singing two silly Christmas songs. As I said in my comment on the comm., only this guy can take silly songs like these and make an entire production out of it! So adorable.
Christmas!Bruce
It is so nice to see him as the hyper and happy ball of energy that I know he can be, instead of the sad, mopey thing he's become. I haven't even had the heart to keep up with his latest tour. I think he was here, but I don't want to know about it because it breaks my heart. (Actually, I don't like big arena shows anyway. And that whole new band he's got now is too big for my taste.) It's so hard for me to stay away!
The saddest thing is to know that he's made himself miserable over things that are just not true. What're all the catchphrases? War for oil? Bush lied, people died? Taking over the world or... something? I can't even recall or unravel it anymore, it's so convoluted.
I could go and look up all the facts that refute this stuff, but why bother? No one cares about facts. As long as you feel a certain way about something, then it's true. Even if it's not. Oy, but it hurts my head.
:::sigh:::
I hope he does snap out of this eventually and regains his joy. This sad man that I've seen lately is not the one I fell in love with when I was 18.
Wow. Has it really been that long?

If you're a fan, then join the community. It's brand-spankin' new and there's been some cool stuff on there so far, including a site with 50 bazillion photos! (I only wish I had something to contribute. Alas, I am useless when it comes to fandoms. Ah, well.)
