Courtesy of AP...apparently "some women" aren't happy Elizabeth Vargas is bailing on anchoring ABC's evening news:

First of all, not that I'm a fan of the MSM, but Charlie Gibson was the most qualified to anchor in the first place. HE was shoved aside because he wasn't as young and attractive as Vargas and the other fella who was injured in Iraq. (Don't they call that "ageism?") In any case, give her a freakin' break! She's having her second child at 43...she already put off childbearing longer than most women but what did they expect? Sacrifice motherhood for the almighty dollar, power, and prestige? Toss out her baby to some nanny the second the kid pops out?

Oh yeah, that IS what the hairy-leg crowd expects. They want women to turn into men and if they must have a token child or two, they must give them over to Lupe La Nanny or her wimpy "feminist" man slave to raise while she's out doing something "more important."

In any case, either Ms. Vargas found the schedule too hectic and/or the ratings with her as anchor weren't so hot. Jane Pauley and Katie Couric had no trouble at all with their multiple maternity leaves and both women were ratings winners. Trying to turn this into another "oh woez iz us" is just ridiculous.
