When I discovered this community a few months ago, I Friended a whole slew of you. And boy have I not regretted it.

Before that, my LJ Friends were in two categories: people in my fandom, and conservatives (mostly who share something else with me as well, i.e. gay conservatives or Jewish conservatives). But the twain almost never met. Not until I came here.

Now, I find that the most interesting posts on my F-list are made by the people I found through this community! Apparently conservatism+fangirlishness=interesting.

I just stumbled upon this Wikipedia partial list of Republican celebrities and was surprised to find many fandom-related names among them. There's also this list of which way celebrities donate politically, which is interesting too. As best as I can gather, the following people are celebrity conservatives. Maybe Hollywood isn't nearly as left-wing as we usually think it is. I left off the sports people, though there are a lot of those. There are a lot of links for extra reading about celebrity conservatives in the Wikipedia article. Maybe not as cool as the Afflecks, DiCaprios, etc. of the world, but it's something. =) Enjoy!
