We were watching "The Simpson's" after dinner and lo-and-behold, it was the "Beyond Blunderdome" episode. Why do I bring it up here? Because I have a dirty secret: We got to the scene where Mel Gibson spears a senator with an American Flag and then proceeds to machine gun the rest and I turned to my husband and said, "Y'know. I'd pay money to see that movie."

Baaaad Me.

N.B. A friend of mine has a book out with a similar (if less mindlessly violent) scene in the U.S. Senate: The Mists of Everness reviewed, IIRC, by David Brin.
