The first thought that springs to mind after reading this is "Well, duh! What the City of New Orleans think would happen after a Category four hurricane blew through?"
I'm in Houston and have lived on the Gulf Coast for most of my life. I also have relatives in Lake Charles, LA. I suppose it's because I live on the Gulf Coast and have ties to Louisiana, that I'm not really surprised at what happened in New Orleans. Unlike the rest of the country, I know what the reality is. Louisiana could give lessons on corruption.
I wouldn't go tarring the entire New Orleans Police Department with the same brush however. You and I both know that you should judge an entire organization by the actions of a few. (Yeah, I know, in NO, it was more than a few but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.)
And I certainly wouldn't want to be in their shoes right now.
P.S. What is the deal with The Rolling Stones and their new song 'Why You So Wrong My Sweet Neo-Con'?
