If you can spare just a few dollars from your Christmas shopping, Chanukah gelt, or Yule Merriment Fund, it would go a long way.  Israelis are thrifty people, and they can stretch a dollar longer than anyone I know.  Nothing will be wasted on stupid things that don't help, corruption or bureaucracy.
