I agree with your second paragraph, but I had a much broader intent with the term "international women's rights community", referring to people who work to improve the lives of women and children in countries where 12yo girls are still sold off to 45yo men, are killed for being raped, or are from countries where female genital mutilation is routinely practiced, or are in a war zone, or whatever. there is a need for that type of activism in many parts of the world, but still no one speaks for the woman-hatred that goes on with the millions of gender-selective Chinese abortions.
