First of all, the "women's rights community" only cares about the Blood God of Abortion. The Chinese government thoughtfully provided "choice" for all Chinese women, whether they wanted it or not, so as long as the Blood God is satisfied, they are satisfied. Several years ago, ex-NOW president Molly Yard was a guest on Oprah. Someone in the audience got up and asked her what she thought about China's one-child policy and its forced abortions. All Molly Yard could do was yell over and over that she was for choice as the NOW-bot plants in the audience cheered, drowning out the questioner. Like I said, they're not pro-woman, they're pro-dead babies.
I predict this will be a massive demographic disaster for China on both an economic front--you need a growing population to maintain a growing economy--and on the nation's stability. 24 million men with limited access to women will lead to violence on a scale not seen since the end of WWII. I'm concerned one way the Communist government could put down an internal revolt is to start a war with somebody else in order to cull the herd and put that anger and frustration somewhere else. I'd be very worried if I lived in South Korea, Japan, and especially Taiwan.
