Ford Ad Points Out That Ford Didn't Take Bailout Money
Ford's "Drive One" series of ads features real purchasers giving unscripted responses to questions, and one of the new ads features a man saying he was proud to own a car made by a company that didn't take bailout money. Ford is the only member of the Detroit "big three" that did not accept bailout money. Comments to this article include pro- and anti-union people and...well, I thought they were funny. :)

A parole officer noticed the sticker on one of his parolees' cars and when he learned that police were looking for a similar car in connection to a shooting, provided a description that was matched to security footage. Go cops! (Also, LOL.)

Nigerian Army Destroys Possible Al-Qaida Convoy
The Nigerian army attacked a convoy believed to be carrying Al-Qaida militants, killing three of them. It is believed that the convoy was traveling to various places, "forcibly recruiting" young men by claiming to offer money or transportation. Fifty young men were on the convoy and are now headed to the Nigerian capital for questioning.
Bilboard of "Blackface Obama" Causes Anger in Germany
Yeesh, Sonneborn. Really? To the credit of the German people, though, this isn't exactly a popular bilboard. The end of the article lists some of the other, intentional and unintentional, racist Obama stuff that has occurred. You will never hear me say that the US is a post-racism country.

Virginia Abortion Providers to Be More Closely Regulated
Another of the "exactly what it says on the tin" variety. Abortion clinics will be required to meet regulations applying to "ambulatory surgical facilities" (any doctor's office that does surgeries and isn't a hospital, basically; dentist's offices, for example, are ABSs). At least seventeen of the state's twenty facilities are likely to have trouble meeting the regulations and may have to close.

NASA Discovers a Planet Orbiting Two Suns
Apparently, Tatooine (Luke Skywalker's homeworld) also orbits two suns. Unfortunately, the IRL counterpart is a gas giant, so we're unlikely to be able to go to Obi-Wan's house there and ask for his help.
